THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN CONSIGNING WITH THE SHOWROOM PASADENA. WE SPECIALIZE IN CURATED DESIGNER RESALE OF CONTEMPORARY & HIGH-END WOMEN’S CLOTHING, SHOES, HANDBAGS, AND ACCESSORIES.
I HAVE ITEMS I WOULD LIKE TO CONSIGN. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If you would like to bring in items to consign, please set up an appointment by email our buyer, Liz at [email protected] for scheduling and availability. Please understand that we have a 10 item beginner minimum to open an account with us. Certain exceptions may be made at our discretion. We do not accept walk ins.
WHICH ITEMS SHOULD I CONSIGN?
Please bring new or next-to-new items for consignment. We are looking mainly for contemporary and high-end brands but also consider other items as long as they’re on trend and in good condition. Please consider the season when selecting items to consign. A winter coat may not sell as well in the summer, for example.
All items must be freshly clean and have no stains, odors, repairs needed or other signs of wear to be accepted. If soil or stains are identified after an item has been accepted, the items may be cleaned for you and you will be invoiced with your approval. If you do not approve cleaning, items may be picked up and returned to you.
WILL ALL OF MY ITEMS BE ACCEPTED?
Our buyer will choose the items to be sold in our e-store. Please understand that it is determined based on our customer’s interest in certain items, as well as the current inventory. We do our best to make sure your items are properly marketed.
We authenticate high-end and luxury items. We encourage consignors to provide proof of purchase (i.e. original receipts), tags, authenticity cards, dust bags, etc. to help items sell better. If an item is suspected to be counterfeit we will return the item to the consignor.
WHAT IF ONE OF MY ITEMS HAS A DEFECT?
In general, we do not take in items with imperfections. If a defect is found after the first inspection, we reserve the right to pull it. Some items with very small defects may be considered.
HOW LONG WILL THE SHOWROOM HAVE MY ITEMS?
Consigned items will be in our e-store for 180 days.
HOW DO YOU DETERMINE PRICING?
Merchandise is generally priced at 60-80% off of original retail value. We consider factors such as quality and condition, as well as the resale market value of similar items and brands.
The Showroom Pasadena reserves the right to periodically run promotions in effort to help sell your items. These promotions will be done at our sole discretion.
Some luxury designers will not be marked down. We will jointly set prices with the consignors for these items.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ITEM SELLS?
The consignor will receive 50% of the selling price. For items 1K and up, the consignor receives 60% of the selling price.
Checks for sold goods will be mailed on the 1st of each month or may be picked up at the showroom upon request. Please make sure we have your updated address information so that your account stays current and the proceeds from items will be delivered to the right place.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ITEM DOESN’T SELL
If an item doesn’t sell, we will contact you at the email address you provided at the end of your consignor term. If the item is not reclaimed and removed from our premises within 15 days of the date of the notice, the item will become the sole property of The Showroom Pasadena in consideration for our effort to sell and thereafter, store and donate on behalf of TSP.
